Description

Oude Geuze Cuvée Armand & Gaston is a carefully crafted blend of 1-, 2-, and at least 3-year-old lambikken from 3 Fonteinen. It undergoes spontaneous fermentation, is matured in oak barrels, and enjoys extended bottle aging. The beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized. This particular Cuvée Armand & Gaston (Blend 17, 2020/2021 season) features lambikken from four distinct barrels, each originating from a different brew. For the young lambik, 20% of the grains used were sourced from local farms in Brabant. The older lambik, brewed in early 2018, was drawn from two small 400-litre barrels that developed a gently oxidative character. At the time of bottling, the weighted average age of this blend was 18 months.
